Review: 5/5
Opinions: What I'm about to say is predictable, but it's being said anyway: Stuck 1824: A London Tale was an amazing read! One cannot overstate the value of diversity in the Stuck series, including but not limited to social statuses, character personalities, and cultures represented during the different time periods. In this installment, we travel with our beloved Baxter children to London and meet young Charles Dickens, a prominent icon in English literature nowadays but nonetheless somebody that avid readers and bookish people yearn to know more about. If you're remotely curious about his upbringing and inspiration, Stuck 1824 will answer all your questions. It certainly answered mine and provided even more insight into London life during the industrial revolution. Apart from the historical elements, it was heartwarming to read even more character development as the Baxters grow older - or younger, considering the time period! - and learn responsibility and loyalty. There is nothing more inspiring than the skills of friendship and teamwork James, Lucy, and Robert utilize in order to overcome obstacles no other child has experienced. I believe this is a fantastic way for children to learn about history, life skills, and most importantly time travel in an entertaining and unique way!

My Favourite Thing: As with all the other Stuck books, I appreciate Johnson's adept writing style! He has the talent to make the text easy enough for young readers but engaging enough for older, abstract enough to encourage the use of imagination but descriptive enough to form a legible world for readers to transport into, and write enough to leave readers wishing for more but not enough to bore them. I am sincerely impressed with Dave Johnson's writing skills!

My Least Favourite Thing: As per usual, different readers enjoy different things so I cannot promise that the Stuck series will be read as fondly in your mind as it was in mind. However, I loved every page and did not consider a single word a fault!
